В японском языке обращаться к преподавателю "учитель" (сэнсэй) - это уважительно, вежливо и красиво. В английском языке обращение "teacher" - это грубо, издевательски и нагло.
You shouldn't call the British Queen "Ms.": It ain't as nice as "Your Majesty" is. But I think that the Queen Would be even less keen To 'ave 'erself mentioned as "Ls."!
